Hi All
I came across an interesting plaque in Hunter st Newcastle NSW (across the road
from Frontline hobbies and towards Newcastle station a little bit) a nice little reminder
of our railway history.

TE tank transporter with Centurion

Hi All
Here is the latest project to get off the workbench a TE tank transporter with Centurion
tank. The TE is unknown make (I had it for so long and its been to many drinks between
now and when I got it) and the Centurion is by Roco. The Centurion was built
straight out of the box with the exception of making a replacement barrel out of
some brass tubing. All and all a very fun project with good results and I am looking
forward to putting more loads on previously "finished wagons"

Lyndons Basic Australian Trains RKEX kit update

Hi all
Well I actually finished something reasonably quick it does not always workout that way.
The RKEX kit was a nice and easy kit to build with no problems everything went together
well and I'm hoping that Lyndons do some more modern wagons especially for the steel train
maybe a  RKEF with both ESX and ELX ends or a RKJX (I think they all have the the same underfloor????? maybe) . I definitely will be ordering up 3 more RKEX kits to use up the 5
decal options in the not to distant future.
Till next time

Lyndons Basic Australian Trains RKEX kit

Hi all
After alot of procrastinating i finally got a couple of Lyndons Basic Australian Trains RKEX kits
for my steel train having never got any of his kits i didnt know what to expect.
How they are packaged
The instructions
 Part castings
Detail parts
After a quick glance at the kit  the castings are crisp with only a tiny amount
of air bubbles the decals look good with 5 sets of wagon numbers and i really like the
Pacific National safety reflectors for the wagon sides (i would love alot more of them for
my other wagons) and  i think the brass etch is from Model Etch. I am hoping they build
into some nice little wagons for my ever growing steel train. I cant wait to get started on
the build so it should not be to long before they are built and put on here.
Till next time
